Product Introduction
When customers ask us for a rod that doesn't rust easily and won't weigh their design down, we usually point them to the High Strength Titanium Rod. It's the go-to material in aerospace, marine, and high-end automotive work. Gr5 and Gr23 are the standard options, giving a good mix of strength, durability, and weldability.

Product Features & Application

■ Lightweight, Without Losing Strength
Reduce component weight without losing safety margins. Typical in aerospace bolts, racing car rods, and offshore equipment.
■ Resistant in Tough Media
Performs well in seawater and chemical plant atmospheres, where stainless steels may pit or corrode.
■ Machining and Welding Ready
Annealed rods maintain consistent hardness for CNC work. With proper tooling, turning and TIG welding are reliable.
■ Common Applications
- Aircraft fasteners and landing gear hardware
- Automotive performance parts and chassis bolts
- Marine propeller shafts and subsea structures
- Heavy-duty chemical plant fasteners

FAQ
Q1: How do I choose between Gr5 and Gr23 rods?
A1: Both are Ti-6Al-4V alloys. Gr5 is standard and widely available. Gr23 has extra toughness and is often chosen for aerospace safety parts, medical tools, or low-temperature service.
Q2: Is machining titanium difficult?
A2: Yes, titanium hardens during cutting and conducts heat poorly. We suggest sharp carbide tools, slower speeds, higher feeds, and plenty of coolant. Many customers machine short passes to avoid overheating.
Q3: Can titanium rods be welded?
A3: They can. TIG welding works well with full gas shielding. Keep oxygen and nitrogen out of the weld zone.
Q4: How long can rods last in seawater?
A4: Service life depends on design load and maintenance. In practice, users report much better performance than stainless steels, especially in long-term immersion.
Q5: Do you accept small orders?
A5: Yes, trial pieces and cut lengths are available for prototypes or urgent repairs.
